I am a creative thinker, researcher, and visual problem solver. In all of my roles, I have conceived new product ideas, worked within tight deadlines, collaborated with other creatives, and taken the lead on managing projects. I believe that everyone has the right to authentically express themselves and I do that through product design.
In my previous career, I designed WordPress Websites as a freelancer. I also worked in the Halloween industry for almost 10 years, designing Halloween costumes and seasonal novelty décor for big-box retailers including Walmart, Target, Spirit Halloween, CVS, and Party City. I enjoy empowering others through self-expression, costumes are a vehicle to embody the alter-ego. I have also produced and styled 12-15 photoshoots annually for several years within the Halloween market. This taught me how to manage a creative team and also project manage a budget of $130k per year.
Over the past 10 years, I have studied developmental psychology and Tibetan Buddhism as a hobby. I like to learn about behavioral patterning and what makes people think the way that they do. UX Design seems like a natural next evolution in my career. Moving into technology will allow me to help and reach a wider audience with design and innovative ideas.
